oh.. I thought you meant the car drove itself or something. That would suck, because if you're going to have a car that drives itself you may as well just take the bus.

no no..SMART is just a brand name...they sell ultra-compact cars in Europe...really fuel efficient and perfect for urban driving.
 
The 2 seater is the only way to go for the SMART. I saw it when I was in germany 2 summers ago. I'd rather have a trebant then the 4 seater and a hybrid over the trebant.
 
its not ugly, and its perfect for the city, basically a 4 wheeled motorcycle.
or you'd rather go around NYC in a big truck.

Didn't you here, young people like ugly cars now. The Element, Scions, these, they are wonderful cars! (the two seat roadster doesn't look half bad, but we won't be getting that)

/17 year old who doesn't understand why car makers think ugly, heavily marketed cars are considered cool

Edit: After looking at pictures of the four door version here, I have to say that it's not as hideous as I remembered the SMART cars to be when I was Europe. Just lose the two tone color, and it would make a nice car for urban driving.
 
Personally I think the roadster looks cool.
Great as a second commuter car if its anywhere less than $10K.

Its like having a golf car that you can drive on the road.
 
oh lord. that thing has like a THREE-banger (650 or so cc), even with the help of a turbo it still only has 80 hp (IIRC). I hope it can get on the freeway without getting hit from behind (I hope its lightweight can compensate a bit)


anyway, the Coupe IS sexy!!!!
