dialup connection keeps popping up

i'm connected through through the internet wirelessly on my laptop but my dialup connection keeps popping up when i access a website. I'm able to access the internet fine, but winxp keeps thinking that i need to dialup or something.. how can i fix this?
 
In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu, then Internet Options. Click on the Connections tab and select the option to "Never dial a connection." Click OK to save the change.
 
If the above doesn't work try going to start > Run > Type "inetwiz" > Select "connect via lan" > accept default options > click "no" when asked to set up mail.
