Dial Around #'s - Long distance

episodic

Lifer
Are there any good dial around long distance deals? Is there an 'honest' site you can trust that compares them?

I'm not in New England, am in the South. Vonage would not make much sense as I have DSL and already have to have a POTS line. . .

Vonage should work good with DSL (or any broadband) if your DL/UL speeds are respectable. But I haven't looked into that deep since I have cable now.

The point is - if you have DSL you already have a POTS line. If you already have a POTS line why would you need vonage?

Because you can cancel your phone service and still keep your DSL. They are delivered on the same copper, but the service is separate.

not all phone companies allow you to cancel your phone service and keep DSL, some require an active phone service with DSL

good point. I had earthlink DSL over Sprint local phone company, and could cancel phone and keep DSL.

Ok can someone point me to a good dial around #. Thanks for Rossman's suggestion, but that is not what I was looking for.
