Diagnose slow boot up cause!

I don't understand why my desktop loads so slowly. I can access my computer and other folders but if I right click my computer and click 'properties' the window does not appear for about 2-3minutes later.

Here's a picture of bootlog xp.

at the bottom, this worries me..
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\drmkaud.sys Start: 13.846 sec
C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\mrxdav.sys Start: 137.267 sec

My windows CD has DriversPack and is SP3

drmkaud

mrxdav

Those two look legit to me.

I'm betting it's your AV. You're running NOD32, and it looks like it's getting hung up on boot, so it's probably getting hung up when you try to bring up a menu. Does it have the ability to add entrys in the context menu? IE: right-clicking and choosing "Scan with NOD32" or something similar?

Might try disabling it for one boot up and seeing if that helps.
