I bought some DVD blanks there, but other than that (and somewhat fortunately, it would seem) the prices on computer stuff at Tiger Direct Canada aren't competitive enough to be tempted.

What the heck does PMPO mean anyways?

Peak Music Power Output and it's not recognized by any authority. Run far away if you see this specification! The term peak output is also meaningless as it does not refer to peak vs. RMS in AC power. The correct term for short bursts of power is called dynamic power. The standard test is 20ms - also meaningless as most drum hits - particularly bass drums - will have a duration much longer than 20ms!

Like drag racing there is no substitute for cubic inches! We have amplifiers capable of 20kW output and those have 50A 240VAC connections!

It's possible to run large amplifiers on household (120VAC in US) power but they will be current limited. There's usually enough storage and particularly with SMPS amps they can play live music very loud but nothing is more embarrassing than a cb or fuse opening and the music stops! Particularly if your lead singer is synching! :D

Gotta wonder how companies can even get away with selling junk like this. And the silly thing is that could have gotten rid of those worthless heatpipes and some of the bling on the casing, and spent the money saved to buy higher quality components that might allow the unit to get closer to its 1050w rated output. Just makes no sense to me.

Lol I love when people don't understand how their 3000 Peak watt sony xplod subs get spanked by my 1500RMS 15" RE MX.

I went to tigerdirect to read these fake reviews, and it looks TD deleted the ones you were talking about. So kudos to them for that. However there are definitely still suspicious ones there (the item is featured though so negatives kudos lol). I'm sure Diablotek decided to spend money on trashing reviews then actually engineer a product.

I read that johnnyguru don't get too many PSU sent from manufactures anymore because he pushes too hard on those PSUs and manufactures are afraid a bad review unit would kill their sale. and some even pretest their units to select 'good ones' to send to him. damn I think he should just take some donations and buy it from retail.

It's not that OK Wolf pushes too hard when testing power supplies at JonnyGuru, it's that OK W actually tests to what the seller is claiming the power supply will do. If you make claims of performance on the box and the power supply, you shouldn't be afraid of someone actually testing to see if it really can do what's advertised.
