that's d2 in a NUTSHELL! Big time. I was all over that game like a fly on crap and then one day I realized "why?" Why was I doing it? I'd already finished single and I was now just going through the motions to level my character. Extremely lame and boring once that finally quit so i bailed. MMORPGs are at least involving a lot of human interaction and way larger more complex worlds but at its heart D2 is just a dungeon slash and gets boring after a reasonably short while. >>

I'm an old school diabloII expac player that very may well be hardcore like you. I've sold small poison charms (75 dmg over 5 sec) for $50+ on ebay back in the day. I remember Sojs going for $10 for 3.

My best dualing amazon is level 59. She is my 4th amazon and I keep her at 59 because it's less intimidating to others. She has level 20 guided arrow, level 12 critical, and level 9 evade, avoid, and dodge. She uses a near perfect Ballista and guided arrow, with a perfect shaftstop, vamp gaze, string, and shaftstop. Has Leech ring, 24 dmg reduce ammy, and raven frost.

If ppl are dishonorable and use slow, I throw on:
clegs, coil, + blackhorn

She can easily kill level 90+ zons armed with windforce doing 1k-2k dmg per guided arrow hit.

Perhaps my favorite char was a dueling smite paly with Herald, shaftstop, vamp gaze, perfect lightsabre, and string. Uses holy shield, holy freeze, charge, fanatacism, and smite. (smite can be very deadly)

My most used character is a level 93 firewall sorc that can kill hell mephisto w/8 players solo in less than 8 seconds.
I use map hack, tele to meph, cast lower resist (from charges of necro wand) and static field + firewall.

She has 600+ mf with an inv of small charms 6% and 7%
Skullders, Shako, Occulus, Lidless
goldwrap 30%
war travelers 41%
chance gloves 40%

My lvl 93 barb merc is vital in meph runs as he can tank meph
His equiptment:
Crainte Vomir sword slows 35%
Shaftstop, Vampire Gaze

Fastest leveler was a nova sorc, dumbest char was an elemental druid. Toughest char was a WW/berserk barb, and weakest char was my trap assassin. I had 2 accounts filled with mules, one shared ladder account, 2 soj mules (have about 20 left). A total of 3 character accounts. I havn't played in a long time due to an enormous drop in the diabloII items value on ebay. The SOJ stock must be at rock bottom right now, dam diablo economy.
