Diablo2 question

how to make it brighter when running in a windowed mode in win2k

bright in full screen
but pretty dark in windowed mode

using a geforce2
any ideas?

I noticed the same thing but can't find a good solution. You can always turn up the brightness on your monitor.

it is weird you cannot adjust the gamma in a windowed mode

Ues it is a Win2K/NVidia related problem. Im not sure about other cards... probably because noone else uses different cards in Win2K since the rest run like crap.

i have seen the same darker images in the window under me, have yet to see a cure other then monitor brightness.

To run Diablo2 in a windowed mode

make a shortcut to diablo II.exe with a -w command

eg

"F:\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w

Why would you want to run D2 in a window instead of full screen?

hehe you might be running a few cheat programs and getting sick of alt-tabbing 🙂

I don't cheat... Actually... I almost always play on the realms.

I wanted to window it so I can keep a tv window open where i can see it to watch my favorite shows or keep up with the election. 🙂

Windowed mode is good for those of us with big (19"+) monitors. D2 looks all pixelated at 640x480 full screen, but is better in a window IMO.
