diablo and diablo 2 were awesome. I love the town music in Diablo 2, sounded just like call of the khutlu by metallica. Perfect song, man it brings back memories.

Isn't Titan Quest supposed to be very Diablo like?

Anyhoo, just jump back into Diablo II. For as much as Blizzard tries, it's still not "completely" dead yet.

Dungeon Siege I/II was a well-polished hack-and-slash. Not too much depth, but it felt as if the developers did an absurd amount of play tester to balance the game play. Another title is Sacred, coming from a small developer. Huge world, wide variety of classes, but not terribly immersive.

diablo 3 is not on the horizon but a game called Hellgate London is by the same people that made Diablo. not blizzard though but the actual writers of the game. saw a short video the other day and holy s#$t it looked awesome. ! i googled hellgate london.

Haven't heard much. With WoW they have a money tree, so I doubt they are too concerned.

Lot of the talent that made diablo series left.

yo vivithemage,

you talking about selling virtual stuff from the game on e-bay and making cold hard real cash.?

heard a story on NPR a couple of weeks ago about some people making a killing the same way with other games and accounts.

yup, back in the 1.08 patch I had one of the first dupe methods at my will...I duped SOJs, purchased legit windoforces with them, then duped the windforces and ebayed them. Also used pindlebot and found my very own 256% (perfect) grandfather or whatever that was called haha.

It was good fun, I must have made a good 600$ off of that game for pixels ^_^

I think was about 15 years old too, that was a good summer :D

Hey you're not allowed to post rumors about D3 yet... the last set of rumors was posted a mere two months ago, and you're required to wait four months before posting baseless speculation about D3.

well vivithemage,

i have no idea what you just said "pindlebot"? lol, but i will take your word for it. i had an impressive set of armor for my warrior and almost made it through the 3 bosses on the 3rd level then died. :( i figured it would take so long to recover my losses and start over i decided not to. lol

i'm a old guy @ 49 1/2 so i need all the help i can get lol. i have fun but wouldnt know a hack/bot or where to get one or use one if it bit me . :)

pindlebot is just a bot that made your chara do pindle runs all day...thats in stage 5 if i remember...I remember playing and it would take about 6 hours to get a sorc up to level 80. good times :D

Maybe an assassin or druid? They have the magic for the later part of the game, but are good physically for the beginning. Maybe a barbarian or a paladin, but that could get tough later on. Sorcs would be hard to start with but get easier as you develop your skills. Or you can just go with a Bowazon and keep at a distance from everything you fight.

Guild Wars was made by a lot of ex Blizzard employees. I'm a big Guild Wars fan myself, but I wouldn't call it Diablo-esque. Not much leveling, no item hunting, no potion popping, no real skill spamming and no soloing. I do miss the good old days of Diablo 2.
