diablo imbue question

i've got a lvl 77 barb and decided to pay Charsi a visit today, to my surprise i found that i had an imbue that i had forgotten to use!! what's good to imbue at this lvl? i'd really like a nice lance or ornate plate

Macy's has some nice ornate plates around Christmas time.

Imbue doesn't work miracles, you need a good base item. I think if you imbue an ancient armor, you'll get an ornate. What I would do is make a backup of your character and experiment.

um, if your on closed battlenet there is no backing up.

linh: at lvl77, you're way pass your prime to imbue weapons.
the ideal level to imbue weapons is at lvl35, at your level there are alot of modifiers you don't want on a weapon. i would probably go for the ornate plate, where the high level modifiers will be useful.

The ideal time to imbue is about 30, you most likely want to imbue a lance. You can take a risk and imbue a gothic bow and if its good its worth a lot.

yeah i was afraid of that. i've wasted ~5 imbues each on lances(clvl 34) and ornates(clvl30), all of them blow
maybe i'll get lucky with my clvl 77
