Win ME - Comp 1
Win '98 - Comp 2

Alright I know I haven't done alot (ok any) windows networking in the past but this should be a cakewalk. I have two computers a crossover cable and two nics. I can ping, map, share I just can't get the a Diablo Server up. The only things going on that might be warnings to me are that on the '98 machine when I log in even though I have disabled the NT login I still get a domain server not available for password authentication error. When I setup the network stuff I got a request to put in the Win98SE disk to install nwnblink.dll and it wasn't on the 98SE disk or the Win98 Disk. I got a copy and put it into the windows/system folder but now get an error on startup that the nwnblink.dll is damaged and may need to be reinstalled.

Is there anyhting else that I can check to see what the problem is? Can I get this file somewher else, I copied it off my WinME machine originally. Any help would be appreciated.

That DLL file is in a CAB file somewhere on the disk, hense the reason you can't find it. Cab files are MS's version of a Zip file, basiclly.

Make sure the Win98 PC is setup as being in a workgroup, not a domain.
