I just reformatted my HDD and reinstalled DII, and I wanted to use my old character so I copied my save folder to disc before I reformatted. I started where I had left off with my char and played for awhile eventually saving and quitting. I just went to play again so I started and it put me right where I started before it did not save my game any further. I tried uninstall and reinstall same thing not sure what is going on. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure the files you saved aren't write protected.. For some reason when saving the game files to another place it changes them to Read Only..
 
Thanks you were right. I checked the file properties and they were read only. I changed the setting and it now works fine. Thanks again
