Recently I've been loosing my interest in playing computer games but I decided to put in Diablo II (expansion)
and give it another go. I restored my level 63 Assassin and everything was cool.

UNTIL I INSTALLED the 1.10 patch.

What the heck? He|| level is just not even reasonable! One zombie is guaranteed to use one Super Health potion and returning back to the blacksmith for repairs is costing thousands after a little scap. (Claws power up at lev 17 hits 1 - 669pts of damage; seems like under a 200 most of the time.)

I have 650,000 saved up but every time returning to town I don't even have enough to pay for the repairs. It's imminent that my funds will some day run out, so I decided to give Nightmare a try. The monsters aren't dropping near as much as before the patch and still the repairs are costing more then I'm finding. (Unless I grab EVERYTHING they drop and sell it. Take everything out of your inventory and obviously you loose your charm powers and end up dead.)

Is 1.10 all what it's cracked up to be? I'll keep playing for now, but I'm not impressed. Is that the reason for most of the Power leveling I've seen in the past posts?

You have to be level 75+ to do HeII runs, and your character is the worst class to be doing it on your own. Best bet is to join in with others higher level than you and do some runs, just keep alive and collect some experience points to keep leveling you up until you can do Baal runs yourself. Good luck.

I stayed with the 1.09 patch when I played Diablo II. I enjoyed playing single player, and 1.10 was just too hard. All the new stuff wasn't all it was cracked up to be, IMO. :disgust:

1.10 is definately what it is cracked up to be. Play online, make a ladder character and start over. Lots of new stuff (only findable in ladder games), nightmare and hell are substantially different now. Blizzard did a good job with this patch.

Well my suggestion to u is start>program files>Diablo2>Uninstall. The patch basically sucks it did do its job but it did a lot of things that the majority of people never really wanted to happen. If ur still into games when world of warcraft comes out u should get that cuz itll be much better.

P.S Does anyone else think they wrecked d2 so people would quit and buy wow when it comes out?? it does seem viable

The 1.10 path is great but it does make things harder at higher difficulty levels. If you're finding things too hard then you're probably too low level to be in the area you're in.
