Diablo 3 beta ran badly for me...

My system basics are as follow:

AMD Phenom II X3 @ 2.8Ghz
Radeon 4850
4GB DDR2

TOR and Starcraft 2 run well-nigh buttery on my rig, but the Diablo 3 beta stutters up the wazoo, and any time there's a witch doctor on screen casting spells, the framerate drops well below 1 fps.

Do you guys think this performance is indicative of the release version, or were things just not "optimized" in the beta?
