Diablo 2 question - why are my barbarians base resistencies at -8???

I got to looking today at my barbarians stats - his base resistencies when naked are -8.

Anybody know wtf is up with this? Man...I've got level 4 resist skill and even with some resistent items, my stats are still below 50%.

What the hell???

Did you beat Diablo with this character? Cause if you did, your playing Nightmare mode, your resistances are set at a negative value (-20 I think, exact figure escapes me).

ahhhhhhh!!! That would be the case Those sneaky bastards hehe. Thank goodness for that resist skill.
