Diablo 2 & Prophet2 64mb problems

My computer hangs completely when exiting D2.

I have the latest drivers 5.22 & latest patch 1.02.

Still hangs, What is the solution ?

Do I have to run it in 2D 🙁

Its a common D2 problem.

go to reactor critical and get the 5.3 NVidia drivers. I know these work cause I've used them for the last week w.o a problem. I've also read that the 5.32s MIGHT work but I know the 5.30s work

Thanks a lot. So your saying that you can run D2 in direct3d mode with
the new ref 5.32 drivers ?

If so ,then all I have to do is install over my hercules 5.22 driver set ?

what I sam saying boils down to this.

The 5.30 drivers work for me in D3d on my TNT2 but I have read on many forums esp. blizzard's that the 5.30s work.

the 5.32 drivers are unknown. I have read conflicting reports of them workking or not.

So therefore your best bet is to get the 5.30 drivers.

and you have to use the update driver function in control panel-> display -> advanced (i believe) -> somewhere.

I could be wrong but this is what I remember.

You just need to UPDATE the drivers do not replace them manually. Have the system do it for you. but you will need to replace the old ones with the new ones.
