Heh, I never cared so much about xpack, other than the much needed res boost. I gave it a shot for a couple of weeks, couldn't stand it and went back to what I had been used to 3 years as of then. Dunno, maybe it was grudge against blizzard for a craptastic 1.09 nerfage patch, which was widely considered to be a marketting ploy to lure kids out of their beloved classic (a conspiracy theory, you may call it).
I think the current state is quite sad, at least as far as classic goes. I like the char balance per se, but most dueling folks seem to have left the scene. Other than BvB I rarely see legit duels these days. Its by and large just a potfest with tppk bullshit or just teamed up idiots trying to piss people off. Not that there werent idiots in the past, the game has undoubtedly declined in popularity, so the good duelers are a thing of a past it seems.
