I've had a DI-614+ Rev B for about a year now upstairs in our house. Three devices use the wirless portion of the router:

(1) Roommate upstairs on his PC with a wireless PCI card
(2) Me on my PC downstairs with USB wireless adapter
(3) My iPAQ 4150 PocketPC

A few weeks ago, the router started doing some funky stuff. When I would try to get online with my iPAQ, it would say that it couldn't obtain an IP address b/c another device on the network was using the address.

Then, when my iPAQ would finally get an IP address, my desktop computer would say that another device on the network has taken that IP address and that it cannot connect.

So then this morning, I woke up and my computer said the same as above, "another device on the network has the IP address." I disabled the connection, then reenabled it and it came back online, then my roommate comes running downstairs saying this his computer got knocked off the network (he got the same message I've been getting).

I've tried rebooting the router through the Web Based Utility, and I've reset the router with manually to no avail. All clients are setup to obtain an address automatically and this wasn't an issue until about 2 weeks ago.

Using the latest D-Link firmware available on website (3.43).

Sounds like something is wrong with DHCP on the router. Do you have any static IPs? Have you reflashed the firmware?

All IP's are assigned by the router. I haven't reflashed the firmware b/c I wasn't aware that firmware "degraded" :p

I don't honestly know on a DLink. I've had some issues with Linksys where "parts" will break down and a reflash fixes it. :)

I just upgraded to 3.43 and now my wireless DHCP doesn't seem to be working right. My desktop, hardwired, gets an IP fine, but the laptop, on wireless, doesn't. Wierd thing is that the router config pages say that the laptop was authenticated (WPA-PSK) and given .101 . But the .101 IP never shows up on the laptop. I can manually enter the IP, DNS, etc and have connectivity, but the laptop won't connect with DHCP set on it. As there doesn't seem to be a Knowledge Base article about it or a FAQ, I sent D-Link an e-mail about it. I'm searching the web right now.

Talked to DLink tech support. "Well, I've never heard of that. Guess you should reflash with the older version that worked or leave the laptop set as static."
Thanks for all those things I hadn't considered, dude...
