Yes it can handle PPPoE. I bought this router a year ago to specifically connect to my PPPoE DSL. So far I have had no problems. Setup was simple. It took me a total of 5 minutes. As far as buying the Di-604 the price sounds good. I paid $30 a year ago and overall I am pleased with this router.
