Well i was having some range issues when i had my router in my basement, so i moved it two floors up where we have our wireless laptop. but about a day after it was moved up i was no longer able to receive wirless signal. i pretty much had to stand less than 5 feet from it, then it would pick up a signal of 11mb/s. another issue that since moving it up, i have been receiving some other wireless signal but it wont let me sign onto it and it is also very weak. so what im worndering is my router just picking up interference from the other connection? or could it be the laptop? if you have any thoughts plz lemmi know htnx.

You might be getting interference from another device. But if you need to be at five feet to connect, that would be some pretty strong interference. Try changing the channel on your wireless router. You might try putting it back downstairs and see if you can still connect to it (albeit with range issues).
