DI-524 keeps on disconnecting

I bought this router recently but it keeps on disconnecting on wired and wireless computer. messages comes up on wired computer network cable unplugged and wireless computer it comes with work offline try again I have shaw motorolla modem blue one. tried changing the firmware on 1.05 it works but disconnects then i changed to 1.03. I get the ip address and stuff but never connects dunno know why?
it renews the ip but doesn't connect on using the 1.03 What should i do thanks
 
If it's doing the same thing on both wired and wireless connections with two different versions of the firmware, it sounds like you have a bad router.

Do a hard reset (hold in the reset button on the back of the router for about 30 seconds, unplug power to everything, then plug everything back in in this order, waiting for each item to finish turning on before continuing: cable modem, router, computers. If it still doesn't work, take the router back to the place you bought it and exchange it for a new one.
