We have a contract with both companies, but DHL is really proving to be the best value everytime. UPS in this case was $88 more for the same 22lb 13x15x17" package going overnight Florida to New England.

Another oddity of DHL is more often than not overnight by 3pm is cheaper than their 2 day service.

We are having great success with them and so far nothing damaged out of 1000's of shipments.

dhl doesnt pick up packages until after 2pm. that part really sux. i called for a pick up on new years eve, they said sure, no prob. never showed, package was late. all they could say was "wow, that should have been picked up already". duh. and i use fedex over ups also, unless a customer/ supplier requires ups.

don't know who is giving favors to the DHL rep but their rates are rarely comparable to UPS or FedEx

Yeah it really depends on the buisiness, how much they want your business, and how much you ship with that carrier.

Usually I can ship a 50lb package via UPS 3-day for about $10.

DHL wins customers with their prices which are very good. Their quality is terrible in comparison though.

But with UPS it might actually get there when it's supposed to.

I will never use DHL as they are incompetent assholes.

They were supposed to deliver me a package on a Wednesday but didn't because of "weather". It was Out for Delivery as of like 7:00 AM but apparently a bright, sunny day doesn't work well for package deliveries.

I was assured they would deliver it on Thursday but then of course the driver just decided to not finish his route and went home early.

Finally on Friday it showed up.

This is the primary reason I don't order from Frys much is they only use DHL. TOo bad too since Frys is a great company.

DHL = Airborne Express & that = total crap.

UPS is overpriced & under-performing when it comes to anything other then ground shipments.

DHL is a hit or a miss. DHL desperately needs a good restructuring...

I might have to switch though, as rates are cheap and DHL will have shipping centers in Walgreens now.
