No, DHL is just totally incompetent.

It took them a week to find my old house, even after I a called them twice and gave them specific directions from their branch to my house.

I've had better luck and service with DHL than I have had with either UPS or Fedex.

i have used DHL several times with good success. i like their low low prices for ground shipping of non-priority packages

Around here DHL is the worst, expensive for the slowest shipping and lazy too - twice we got packages shipped DHL and they were delivered by USPS - WTF?

UPS (and probably FedEx) does this, too to save money sometimes. They take the package most of the way, and then give it to the USPS for final delivery. Of course, UPS tells you up front when they're going to do this...

DHL is undoubtedly the worst.
But it seems that, as in everything else, everyone wants to go with the cheapest!
That is pretty much how DHL got it's start. They knew that in this day and time, if they could deliver for even 1-2% less than the competition, they could take over!
I would much rather spend a little more to ensure my package gets there when and how it needs to be there!

I had a good experience with them. Delievery guy left the package at the side door, but stated on the door slip that it was left at the front, which is a negative of course. I called their 800 number asking about my package, and within 5 minutes they called me back after contacting the driver, and told me where it was left at my house. I was pretty impressed by that.

Ugh, damn it. I didn't know outpost.com ships with DHL... 17 hours in Ohio on an overnight package that is supposed to be coming to Texas.

My first experience with DHL was terrible, so I will always have a sour taste in my mouth from them.

Basically I was in my living room, no more than 5 feet from the front door. I hear a door close and look outside and see that it's DHL. So I wait for a knock, and it never happens. I figure my package is just due the next day or something. I leave a couple hours later and right there, beside my front door, under a fvcking ROCK is my package.
