DHL/Airborne Express question...

I ordered something from Dell, and the estimated delivery date is today. What time of the day does DHL usually come by?

Depends on your delivery area. But they usually dump the package on your front door without a signature, so who cares?

I hate Airborne...

So I should expect them around noon? Thanks.

No, your neighbor should expect it around noon. You'll get it whenever your neighbor notices that it wasn't delivered to the right address.

DUDE. DHL SUCKS SO BADLY.

I have had nothing buy bad experience from them.

I order arcade controls from the UK from Ultimarc.com to build my Mame cabinets, and the only way they ship is DHL. Well the last time I got a package it arrived in charlotte and say there 3 days, Charlotte is 30 mins from where I live. I checked the tracking # and saw it was sitting there and I called them. I gave them the tracking # and they guy was like Is it supposed to be delivered to blah blah, I was like yes thats my address, then he was like well the package only says your name and we don't know where you live, then he asked me my address. WTF He just told me my address.

So I gave them my address again, and he said It will be delivery first thing monday morning, this was early sunday that I called him. I work second shift so I asked him if it would be there before 3:00, he told me that it would be there between 9-12. So I had to get up extra early monday morning to sit and wait. Well 2:00 came and NO package so I called back and they where like we didnt get your address untill it was too late and the trucks already left, OMG. So this guy tells me the same delivery time on tuesday, So again I get up early and NO package by 2:00. So I call and they say sorry they forgot the package at the warehouse. So again I get told Wednesday the same time, for the third time I get up from only 3 1/2 hours sleep to wait on this package.

3:00 rolls around and NO PACKAGE, I was pissed at this point and called them once again, I gave them the tracking # and the guy was like, its on your front porch. WTF. No its not, or so i thougbt. I went and checked and sure enough this Dumbass driver had left $500+ worth of arcade componets that I WAS SUPPOSED TO SIGN FOR sitting on our front porch.

Not the only thing that has happened to me that they have did, just the most recent. DHL SUCKS

So seen that commercial with all their trucks comming in on the train, well somebody needs to derail that train. I mean UPS, and FEDEX are Godlike compared to DHL

[/Rant Over]

The driver left $300 worth of computer upgrades out all day, without a signature, and it rained, nonetheless. The package was protected by an awning, but still...

I also 'recieved' a retail training reward package from Microsoft (when I worked retail) and it had two copies of XP inside. Yep, that was left outside as well.

There is no specific time they will deliver, it completely depends on the amount of packages and location of the drops.

Yea and call them and give them your tracking #, and they will give you an estimated time. Take the estimated time and add two hours and two days and that should be about right.

This is a company that is trying to make themselves as a viable option other than two established companys and yet they can't do anything right.

I ordered something from IBM on friday morning and got it tuesday afternoon via DHL, that was over the 4th July weekend too.

So no DHL complaints from me.

So..they did the same thing to me.

I decided to check the tracking..and what do you know..delivered at 12:09..it was 1:30 when I checked the tracking. I ran downstairs, checked the front..wasnt there..figured it was infront of the garage, and it was. Jesus.

See that is sucky service. REally bad considering the value of these items and they are supposed to have signature.... :-/

I use DHL almost exclusively for sending all of my packages over 3 lbs on eBay (everything else goes USPS).

I've shipped probably 500 packages in the past year and have only had two foul ups.

(1) The driver delivered one package to N. Main St instead of S. Main St.
(2) One package that was sent 2-day air arrived in 4 days instead of 2. They refunded me back my shipping cost.

That's it. Otherwise, they're QUICK with shipping (usually less than 5 days cost to coast) and they're dirt cheap.
