DHCP Stuck on "Starting"

Right now I'm dual booting Ubuntu and Windows, and my Windows isntall has been having some problems. I was screwing with the registry and ended up screwing a few things up, so I did a repair install. Now the internet isn't working at all. The IP in Network Connections is shown as 0.0.0.0, ipconfig /release works, but ipconfig /renew says that the file is missing. I can't even access my routers config page (it just doesn't load).

I've check the registry entry for DHCP and all the dependencies are there (afd, tcpip, netbt) and it's still a no-go. It's gotta be a configuration problem because it's working on the ubuntu OS.

Any suggestions? 🙁

set a static IP and see if it works

Static IP being something like... 24.57...whatever, not 192.168....

Static IP being one on that falls in your router's range instead of allowing it to assign one to you.
