Dhcp server help!

Hi!

This is my first post here, so I would like to say hello and thank you in advance for your help.

Im trying to setup a ws2012r2 dhcp server but I don't know how to configure the switch and router so clients get ip from server.

I don't even know if it is possible or how to do it but my idea is:
router connects to switch and switch to server. 😕

and client computers connect to switch but get ip address from server.

Please correct me if im wrong or let me know how can I set it up.

If It helps..

I have static ip from the isp
router is from isp
switch is a cisco sg200
server is supermicro xeon e5v3 with two gigabit ports
and clients have win7/8 laptops desktops (around 15)

Thank you!🙂

Other than turning DHCP off on the router, there is nothing to configure router and switch for DHCP, barring advanced functions like vlans and DHCP helpers. It isn't immediately obvious if there is anything like that in place.
