DHCP problems on MacOS 9.2.2

If I use a static address, everything is all good on this iBook..

But when I use DHCP to get an address, it wont get any address, and will auto configure with 169.x.x.x address.

Am I overlooking something?

The 169.x.x.x addressing means is auto-assigned when the machine can't find a DHCP server.

What kind of network are you attaching to...corporate or home?
What type of DHCP server is it (OS, hardware, etc.)?
