DHCP and Win2k pro

Ok, I have installed a Netgear FA310TX into a Win2k Pro machine we just got in. The only reason I went out to look at it was to install a NIC, and get it on our domain. The first thing that I noticed is that when I booted the machine, it added the driver, but no IP was assigned. So I just restarted hoping that an IP assignment is done before hardware is added, but still no IP assigned. So I set up the computer with a static IP and put it on the domain. No sweat, ran our scripts, logged onto the NT domain, and went out on the internet. So I figure, time to switch to DHCP, it asked to reboot, and I did as promted[though I just wanted to disable the NIC]. When it prepared network connections it took FOREVER! Which I knew it wouldnt work, but when I logged onto the computer as the local Administrator, it gave me an EXPLORER.EXE problem, and said that the application must be restarted. And no, it wasnt IEXPLORE.EXE. It only gives me this error when I try to boot DHCP! Do you think that the DCHP.DLL file is corrupted? What should I do. I need to get this computer on DHCP.

I Just checked another 2k box I setup, and it too is running a Netgear FA310TX, with the same driver. So, I guess that rules that out.
