DG965WH and e6300 issues...

So I get my Intel bundle in the mail today ( DG965WH and e6300 ) and I'm pretty pumped because I can finally use my two raptors in raid, and the e6300 should be a decent increase in speed vs my pentium d 930.

So I go and I set everything up, put it all in my case and everything and now the only thing that happens is when I flip on the power supply the fans will turn on for a second, then shut off for a second, over and over agian. The motherboard light is green and I am getting 0 beeping from the motherboard.

I was thinking it's a RAM issue, but wouldn't I be getting beeping if that was the case? I've pulled everything out of the board including the video card ( it has onboard video too ). I've unplugged the optical drives, unplugged the USB cables from the headers on the board. Pretty much done everything. I even took all the ram out and still no beeps.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong here? Any help would be awesome.

I'm going to sleep now, hopefully I will wake up to some good info...lol

Well I just pulled the battery, let it sit for a couple min. Then I reseated the processor and heatsink. And now when I flip the powersupply on it does the same thing only more steadily. So the fans actually stay on but they just fade in and out really fast...

Still no beeps...

This is driving me crazy...

i have the same combo and the same problem. I tested to see if my antec he550 powered up outside on its own and it does with a load of fans and hardrives. No Beeps whatsoever and now it seems my onboard video has gone out as well.

Well I have an Antec HE500 right now, and I think it is the problem...

I'm starting to think there is a compatibility issue with these PSU's. I hooked up a generic 350w PSU at work and it booted right up.

So I'm going to pick up a BFG 650w tonight and see what happens. I will post results...

Thanks for all the input people...

the antec, its really weird. my comp even powers up just from the main switch on the psu. It still acts up a lil though. Sooo frustrating. Anybody dealt with a antec rma first hand yet?

that was the same thing that was going on with mine...

my power switch on my case wouldn't work at all, but as soon as I turned on the switch on the PSU the fans would power up.

honestly, I don't think getting a replacement from antec is the answer, I think you need to go with a different brand...

Just out of curiosity, what ram did you use for this set up? I noticed the specs are saying only 1.8v ram, I was hoping it could go higher.
