DFS channels - should I be using?

Living downtown Chicago, there are a lot of 5ghz in my building. Having recently purchased a netgear R7800, I notice we can choose dfs channels for 5ghz. Is there and cons of using these channels?

On a side not, the router supports HT160. I am not sure if any of my apple devices support this wave 2 technology, but would it hurt to enable it?

I don't think 5 GHz is as susceptible to interference as 2.4 GHz is. That said, you should know that 5 GHz doesn't penetrate walls very well. So if this is an apartment it will work pretty good I imagine. There are 23 non-overlapping channels in 5 GHz where is in 2.4 GHz there are only three.
