DFI Utilities

Does DFI LanParty UT NF4 SLI-D have any utility for monitoring temperatures, fan speeds and voltages under Windows? What kind of protection does it offer against problematic BIOS Flashing.Could I boot from a CD or Floppy and repair the corrupt bios?

the driver disc comes with ITE smart guardian, volts/temps/fan rpm. speedfan among others works too.

bios flash are by floppy or a cd image. the officials are listed on the dfi site and others are available at dfi.street.

repair the corrupted bios? you mean if you had a power failure during flashing or something? i've never had that happen.

A bad flash could be reviable or maybe not. No real protection unfortunatly

Smartguardian is a good program. Doesnt use a lot of memory and I find to be rather accurate 🙂

Yes this is exactly what i mean.I've heard that it can be done by almost all tier 1 manufacturers boards.Better to have that option than buy a new board don't you think?

I'm sure if you get a bad bios that they'll send you a new one for a somewhat-small fee. However, the chances that you will need a service like that are tiny. A bios flash takes only about 30 seconds, and as long as you don't do it in the middle of an enormous thunder storm you should be fine.

Motherboard Monitor 5 works great with the DFI NF4 boards - some of the dfi-street folks have worked out which sensor reports what, and posted config files for you to use. Link to thread, bookmark it if you like for future reference.

I am running MBM5 with the config files from DFI-Street and it works great!

does MM5 work with the DFI nF3 series?

Yes, just use the config data provided over at dfi street .Check link above and do not use the config wizard of MBM . Replace the data file with the modified ones.

you may have to change some of the fan sensors though.

good luck
