DFI Ultra Infinity heatsink?...

Hi 🙂 I plan on getting DFI nFII Ultra Infinity motherboard with an Antec 3700AMB case, but since the cpu socket is right up near the edge of the board, there would be problems with it hitting the psu. I've looked at other boards, but many of them have the socket right at the top too, and I like this as its one of the cheapest with lots of features and seems to have a good record.

I have no need to overclock, might at some stage, but the main thing is for it to be quiet. It'll be on a 2500+ Mobile, which since it has a lower voltage, will be easier to cool?

Would something like this fit?, or one of the bigger thermalrights? thanks 🙂

Hi and Welcome to the forums!

Yeah, the one you linked looks pretty good to me. If not gonna OC much, it shouldn't be hard to keep the mobile cool.

As far as quiet, the main thing is the fan, unless you're gonna run passive cooling?

It just happens that I will be running the exact same rig (xp-m, dfi infinity, on 3700amb case). I'm on the verge of buying a zalman 7000a-alcu ... anyone know if this will fit?

Thanks for the reply 🙂 Forget to mention the fan, I was thinking maybe an 80mm Panaflo L/M1A, would an L1A be enough to cool it?, the case will have a ti4600 and one Samsung Spinpoint hard drive, with either 1 or 2 120mm fans on the case running at 5v, so it shouldn't get too hot.
