My system comes up with a RAM error on the Diagnostic bracket (all red except top right is green). This flashes 7 times and then posts fine. But is very annoying. I have tried reseating my ram, and testing it with MEMtest. Ram tests fine, but I still this problem reoccurs.
I just replaced my K8n Neo 2 Platinum with this board, everything works fine but the post error mentioned above. If anyone knows how to resolve my difficulties with this motherboard... here is my setup configuration... or Maybe I will go with DFI Ultra D instead...
MB:MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (nForce4 Ultra)
HD: 160GB WD IDE
CASE: ThermalTake
CPU: AMD64 3000+
RAM: 1x512 CRUCIAL BALLISTIX (other one is being RMA'ed)
VIDEO: 2mb Rage PCI (waiting for x800xl
SOUND: Onboard
POWER: Enermax 420 Noisetaker
DVD/CD: Liteon 8x DVDRW
FDD: NONE
I still wonder if the MSI or the DFI is better for ballistix... Anyone know if there is a roundup out there with these boards reviewed?
