I've done a fair share of searching on dfi-street but thought I'd put it here since all they suggest is an RMA or clearing the bios.
My board has been less than stellar since I got it but after my recent move I have been unable to get the pc up and running. I don't really think I bumped the rig since I had it in the passenger seat as I drove to my new place.
At first it booted but the wireless mouse wouldn't work. I restarted. After that it got inconsistant. The fans were running way too fast on the videocard as well which bothered me.
1. Sometimes it will boot to the bios and it will just turn off. I get 4 debug lights. Sometimes it will cycle down through the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd debug light but still shutdown at the first light. I don't think I've gotten all 4 lights off.
2. Sometimes I will get into the bios to make changes (since I've cleared the CMOS 100 times) but before I even get a chance to change the date it turns off.
3. Most times it won't start after the above happen. I have to turn the power off and try again. Then I might just get a whirr of the fans for a split second before it dies. Sometimes I might get a few seconds.
I took the battery out of the cmos this morning so we'll see what happens when I get home from work. I tried it last night as well but some people suggested doing it for over 8 hours at dfi-street.
Any ideas? Cut my losses? This board has given me nothing but grief.
