DFI socket 478...

Recently, I have been looking at buying a new motherboard for my P4 2.6 Socket 478 cpu. In the past, the DFI LanParty boards have looked good. Now that I can buy when I find what I want, I can only find the Socket T mobos. Are they EOL or did something happen to that series?

Does anyone know? I would sure like to find out what happened to them.

I would search pricewatch and see if any dealers have any old inventory. Socket 478 "c " series p4's have been out of production for awhile. Only ones left are the 5xx series and celerons, and they will be phased out before too long.

Got it...great mobo. So far, my only compaint is it had issues with WD SATA drives on install...BSOD'ed. Saw other people were having issues with that too. Threw a PATA in and worked great!

Good for you. Curious about the BSODs with WD SATA drives. Did you check over at dfi-street.com to see if they could help you?

Not yet. I just googled it and saw there were other people with WD SATA issues and they said there was no work around. But haven't looked at it since I installed it on a PATA. Will let you know if/when I work on the SATA.

I will check out DFIstreet.com as well. Thanks.
