DFI SLI - DR Question

I've got the DFI SLI board coming in the mail and Ive got a seagate sata II drive also coming.
I've heard of situations where you have to use a floppy drive to install the sata drivers on other mobos when the sata drive is going to be the boot drive (during windows install) and was wondering if I'm going to need that here.
I'm asking because I dont have a floppy drive and will get one if needed but I'd rather know in advance so I can have everything ready.
