dfi sli-dr Nvidia onboard lan problem

For some reason, out of the blue, my local area connection which is the nvidia nforce networking controller does not appear in my network connection. The marvell gigabit controller - local area connection 2 is the only one that shows up in the folder. Interestingly enough, both of them come out on ipconfig in a cmd prompt. The local area connection 1 works, i just need to access its properties to set it up manually. Any suggestions? i tried reinsttalling drivers, but nothing came up.
Thanks in advance

no everything is set correctly, even in bios
like i said, the connection works perfectly because it pulls up an ip address in ipconfig in the command window

My DFI SLI-DR Nvidia LAN suddenly stopped getting an IP address through DHCP. There's no explanationf or it. I tried reinstaling the drivers, etc. I just switched to Marvell port. Hacp is right, I found quite a few complains on DFI-Street
