Setup is the top system listed in my signature, and I am currently using the 2005/06/23 BIOS for the SLI-D. Currently the sticks are running dual channel in the orange slots, however the problem persists regardless of placement.

I am able to run the RAM 1:1 at 235 however going beyond 235 causes memtest errors. My processor can go all the way to 250 with the vcore at 1.45 so pushing the RAM vcore should allow me to get more out of the OCZ Gold.

The problem is I cannot actually increase the voltage on the OCZ on ANY setting. Even running at 100 the RAM simply will not accept any other voltage than 2.6 - I have tried 2.7-3.2 and regardless of the settings as soon as I restart the system will hang on post and not display the bios screens unless I hold insert on bootup.

Any ideas?

just saw your post at dfi.street too.

so its not like the vdimm isn't taking, its that its not posting at more than 235x12 so you can't see if its taking the change or not? can you change the vdimm at lower speeds?

did you try bumping up the vcore at all? with 1.45v you certainly have room.

The thing is it works fine until I bump the vdimm. So it really shouldn't have anything to do with the vcore at all, should it?

well, thats what i'm wondering too...

if i'm understanding you, you were fine at 235x12, 1:1 with 2.6v dimm but you want to go higher. but even if you run your ram at 1:2 you're not posting above that.

if you change the vdimm at say 220x12 will it post and will the vdimm changes work?

Even at 1:2, or just setting it to 1:1 and 200. I cannot go past 2.6 on ANY setting without the system refusing to post. The vdimm is the only thing refusing to properly work regardless of BIOS version.

try the 5.10-2 bios with a hard clear of the cmos (removing battery and all) and make sure your ldt is on 3x. don't use any divider, just load "optimized" and change your vcore to anything but auto, like 1.4+104% and change your dram and see if it posts.

also, i think you have a dmm, you can check the measuring point of the vdimm and see if anything funny is going on with it.

Coming from the BIOS page at DFI here, I'm assuming you mean the 2005/03/10? In which case I have done this and it will let me set the voltage lower, just not higher.

The BIOS you linked are listed as Ultra-D, not SLI-D.. if that makes any difference. Regardless I flashed to that version on the spare ROM just to see and all it did was give me a video splash upon bootup. Flashed back to 2005/06/23 again. Thoughts?
