I've become extremely frustrated at this board's refusal to OC.. I put in 1.552 volts and it still won't boot properly. However once it actually boots, it's PRIME stable. Does anyone have this board and got an OC out of it..
If you're using a divider, put the divider back to 1:1 and lower the HTT as low as you have to to get the memory to run stable.
If it boots up with the 1:1 divider, then you had the same problem I did when I first put together my system. The computer would crash if I used any divider at all.
I thought I got a busted chip.
After going through all the BIOS that I could find, I tried the 7/4/05 BIOS and the damn thing booted 2.7GHZ first try.
You can get the latest bios from DFI's site. I did and now I can overclock very well(9x295), the memory dividers are still iffy. 1:1 and 1:2 seem to work but the ones between...lets just say they need some work. Hopefully DFI will get that right in the next release.
guys,, I can OC ,, and it is prime worthy at 2.6ghz.. HOWEVER,, we're tlaking about my nforce 3 here, i think some r getting lost... IT won't reboot properly.. and sometimes it won't boot.. How can it not cold boot, when it's PRIME WORTHY>>>>
