DFI NF4 Ultra

Does the DFI NF4 Ultra mobo have SATA locks?

If memory serves, the NF3 boards don't have SATA locks on the nVidia chipset. Does the NF4 Ultra have those locks?

Im sure it does but it might be like some Nf3 boards and only a couple lock.

That's why I asked if the nF4 boards have chipset-SATA port locks. NF3 lack chipset-locks, but have locks on the add-on SATA controllers.

but the add-ons run off the PCI bus. 4x7200rpm 8mb cache drives != good for the PCI bus.

That's not quite correct. The nForce3 supports 4 SATA ports, but 2 need an external PHY. These two are not locked, but the other 2 are.

The nForce4 doesn't have a similiar problem, all the ports are fine for overclocking.

Great. That's exactly what I wanted to know.

Considering buying a Winchester 3000+ for OC'ing purposes rather then a 3500+ or something.
