What does it mean when your computer turns on but doesn't get past the booting process (Led stops at 3 lights on) and the cpu fan is very noisy?

Nothing has changed in your hardware, you just moved it 15 mins away. The question is how likely would this issue be caused by the motherboard being shorted out? The computer turns on so the motherboard can't be dead.. can a motherboard being shorten out cause issues like this?

Do a cmos reset and try wiggling your graphics card. The board should be fine, they're just picky sometimes when you move the rig.

If you havent done a CMOS reset already, remember to ALWAYS do that before requesting help.

fixed it. i removed the motherboard and put it back in, it was just shorted out. phew
