I haven't recieved mine yet, so this is just heresay, but appearantly the chipset fan is a magnetic levitation fan, and is pretty quiet. I'd say don't worry about it.
I've read reports of that fan getting up to 7000RPMs and am hearing complaints that it's noisy. Here's a link to a thread over on SilentPCReview where someone ripped it out and threw in a Zalman passive heatsink (with pics!). If you're running a video card with active cooling then you probably won't hear the chipset fan over the video card's fan, though. http://forums.silentpcreview.com/viewtopic.php?p=156430#156430
The guy reported that afterwards his temp was around the same, if not lower than when the fan was running.
