Looking to get an A64 3000+ or 3200+ Venice, and one maybe two 6600GT's and possibly an Antec True Power 2.0 380w, 430w or 480w p/s. Maybe a Smart Power 2.0 450w or 500w.

I already have 2x512mb Kingston HyperX PC4000 and a Thermalright XP-120 with a 120mm fan is on its way.

I have a SB Audigy (first gen) but I may just use onboard sound if its decent.

I have the following drives:

200gb wd sata
200gb wd pata
160gb maxtor pata

pioneer dvd-rom pata
pioneer 108 dvd-rw pata

All of this is in a Thermaltake VA4000BWS case with two 120mm case fans with speed control.

I'm just wondering how this board will work with the above components, and also will the xp-120 fit ok? or should I get an SI-120?

What about this mb working with an opteron 144 939 cpu, I am thinking about getting one of those if I can find one in stock, or in the near future.

Any other advice would be great... my current system is p4 2.4 prescott on abit is7-e mb... haven't used AMD since athlon xp 1800+

Onboard will suck compared to an audigy. Of course you may run into issues with the NF4 chipset and the audigy also.

Memory should be alright, check www.dfi-street.com for any memory compatibility issues. I know the the Ultra-D has some "issues" with HyperX in the past, but has gotten sorted out with a BIOS update or two.

Go with the 430 watt or better PSU, if you run into any problems and have less than that, DFI will tell you to get a bigger PSU.

Other than that, you should be right happy with your new setup.
