Hi all,

I am just wondering which RAM you feel would best suit a nasty OC w/ 2500+ XP on a DFI Lan Party NF2?? I am thinking OCZ PC3200 Gold? Any other ideas?

i have heard some fairly negative things about OCZ as of late. You can't go wrong with Corsair XMS or Kingson HyperX, though Buffalo is an excellent budget alternative. Just stay away from crucial, i've heard it isn't compatible with a fair amount of NFII boards.

512MB Buffalo PC3200 for $90 at the Egg. Cheap stuff and supposedly overclocks like nasty.

I have a DFI NF2U also myself and am wondering the same thing, so please someone chime in! I have been leaning toward getting Corsair XMS (can't decide whether it's worth the extra cash for TwinX though) though I hear around the net that Kingston HyperX is of similarly high quality.

I'm still running my "old" 1.33 Ghz T-bird on my NF2U... this board deserves so much better than that... although it does run much quicker than my AD11 did with the same CPU and RAM.

I have one and am installing the Corsair XMS 1024 kit in about a week when teh ram gets in with my new 2500+. I got the black heatspreader version too. They should look so beautiful in there. I struggled with this decision for a long time too and finally went with this. If ya'll feel like waiting I will happily post my results in the area of next weekend assuming that everyting goes ok.

Well, I should have posted more in my post above. But, I have successfully run OCZ 3700 and 2700 in my DFI NF2. No problems at all. I have not heard anything bad about OCZ lately. In the past, yes, but recently... I don't think so. They have the best customer support in the business at the moment if you ask me.
