DFI n54 Ultra-d firewire problem

I tried to connect an external HD to my system today and the firewire isnt reading the drive. All the USB ports are, but for some reason the firewire isn't. Also, all of the USB drives are 1.1 and not 2.0. I installed the 2.0 drivers but each time I get a popup saying that it would perform faster in a 2.0 slot. My system profile shows them as being there, but then again when I look through a list of my USB ports its reading 10 and I only have 6. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried looking or posting at DFI Street ?

I have the same board and it does have 10 USB ports. The four you're looking for are located on two headers on the PCB of the M/B. Check the manual.
