The story so far.....

I have just upgraded my MSI Neo2 board and graphics card to a DFI Lanparty NF4 SLI DR and Nvidia (XFX) 6800 Ultra PCI-E.

In addition I also got a Hypertec 480w PSU- 18a on 12v

The other items I have are:

2x512 ddr400 Corsair Value select ram (2.5 cas)
2xwd 74gig raptor drives (working on SATA 1 port/connector)
NEC3520 DVDRW drive (as master on port 1 ATA)
Windows XP Pro SP1 with all updates.

I have installed 1 stick of memory and tried that, I have tried a different ata port, and I have removed the nvidia drivers and re-installed them. I have removed the Nvidia SW Ide drivers (as these can cause problems) All nvidia drivers are the latest as of yesterday.

All was working before with the MSI Neo board . Nothing is overclocked and the DFI MB is at default settings. I have the latest NVIDIA MB drivers and graphics drivers from NVIDIA's website. I have disabled the sound, the lan all the com ports.

I am now getting what appears to be random crashes when I use PC Mark 2004 and 3d Mark 2005. (I did get 3d Mark to run once fully and got a score of 5800) I can use the system in windows, for web browsing and outlook and all works fine, I have left the PC on for over 8 hours with no crashes, but as soon as I run the above mentioned programmes it crashes. I have not tried any other applications or games. Im in the line of thought that its something to do with the graphics (card or software) I have Nvidia Display drivers 71.89

I have checked the Temps and the following are under load:

CPU 53-55c
Chipset 50-55c

Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated as I am at a lost to what the problem is. There are so many settings in the bios to that I havent got a clue about . Or is there a decent system checking programme that logs all the errors the system crashes on?

I am now at a stage where I am pulling my hair out!
