DFI motherboard AGP & Geforce 2 Mx or GTS-V

I have this lady at work that needs to upgrade her video card for her son but Im not sure
if the motherboard would be able to handle the AGP video card voltage requirements.
The motherboard is a DFI P5BV3+ and I'm looking to install a geforce 2 MX400 or
Visiontek GTS-V. If anyone knows of anyone running a similar setup can you please post here.
The DFI site states that this board can handle the geforce series cards but I find that hard to believe.

Thanks

The MVP3 chipset's AGP implementation isn't perfect (and neither is any other Socket 7 AGP), so be prepared that you may have to tune it down to AGP1X.

If you are worried about power supply, I'm inclined to recommend the GeForce 2 MX400 as that should use less power than the GTS-V.

as was said above about maybe needing to set agp speed at 1x.... you may also want to install the via agp driver in "normal" mode not "turbo"

personally i would choose the gts just because its a faster card 🙂

as a side note i had a geforce card on several socket7 motherboards, they all worked fine.
