DFI LP NF4

people have had success with the vs, especially with the newer bios, 5.10 and on.

just don't expect to oc at 1:1 thats all.

Use OCZ Premier Series value RAM. It uses the same ICs/PCB as their VX, but is priced like value RAM. If you give it the volts the DFI can supply, you can get some of the best RAM on the market (old BH-5 is still king). I have some at 245MHz 2-2-2-7 with 3.3V. You need active cooling at any higher of a voltage though, at 3.3V I found that it was at 37C, but 43C with 3.4V, and 50C with 3.5. That isn't very hot at all if you are talking about a CPU, but I think RAM can't tolerate as high temps as a CPU (or GPU).

I've been using the Value Select in my Ultra D for a little over a month. I'm at stock settings - no probs. I do agree with rise4310 on the overclockablity of it. I'll grab some OCZ at some point.

has anyone tried the mushkin blue series? like the ones they are having onsale on the hotdeals board or from like monarch. the HP3200

i have the hp blue 1 gig sticks running 2.5-3-3-8 @250. mushkins typically run well on the dfi nf4s. i don't know about the stuff they have on sale. i'd take the chip# or code and run a search at dfi.street.
