DFI LP Jr. P45-T2RS(ICH10R) AHCI BIOS isn't laoded in RAID

I've been able to use a SATA DVD-ROM side by side with a RAID '0' ARRAY on the ICH9R of my Gigabyte X38-DQ6 & G33M-DS2R. I can't do the same on an ICH10R which resides on my DFI Lan Party Jr. P45-T2RS.

The RAID BIOS, onj the DFI board, states 'ACHI BIOS NOT LOADED' and the only drives detected are the RAID '0' ARRAY. The DVD-ROM isn't detected when SATA is set to RAID in MAIN BIOS setup. I'm pretty sure the ICH10R is a tweaked version of the ICH9R and they haver similiar features which leads me to believe that the chipset should detect the DVD-ROM separately.

Is the problem because DFI didn't fully support the AHCI BIOS in RAID setting? Is there something I'm not doing to allow for this?

That's wierd. My GA-P35-DS3R v1.0 board, when I enable RAID mode for the ICH9R ports, specifically says it's probing for SATA HDs and CD-ROMs. I don't have anything plugged in to those ports, so it finally doesn't load the BIOS, but it does display that.

Ya it is weird. I wonder if it is the implementation on DFI's part. I had to use an IDE DVD-ROM installed on the Jmicron IDE port in order to install XP to my RAID '0' array.

Other than that, I love the Lanparty Jr. P45-T2RS board. The BIOS was hard to tweak at first because of the incredible amount of detailed options but it has the most OC'able BIOS out there and I checked voltages and they are the most stable I've ever seen. It even beats out the X38 DQ6 with it's virtual 12 phase power.

UPDATE**

I re-visited the problem again because the chipset seems to be functioning right and re-installed a SATA DVD-ROM to see if maybe it wasn't connected right before and presto!

The RAID screen came up and stated, 'The AHCI BIOS is INSTALLED!!' and proceeded to detect the DVD-ROM & RAID '0' array on boot up.

Unlike the ICH9R, the ICH10R doesn't load AHCI, unless it is needed and states it is not installed. This is what confused me in the beginning along with the old SATA cable being faulty and not connecting well, I guess.
