DFI LP issues

I purchased a DFI T3eH8 last april and it turns out that the bios does not recognize dimms installed in slots 3/4. However cpu-z and windows will show them as being installed but the memory is inaccessible. I cant get a new board despite a 3 year warrenty because they closed up shop in the US and on the LP line in general. I have also had issues using the rear USB ports for my MS Sidewinder keyboard the don't seem to provide enough power... But the front USB ports off the header have no issues supplying enough power and also handling a USB headset. Newegg says there is nothing they can do for me either. Any ideas or suggestions?
