Two things off the top of my head...I recall seeing a power on by keyboard option in the BIOS. Think it's in the genie section.

And the original shipping BIOS has issues with booting DTR/mobile CPU's. Not sure what your 3200 is....

The 9/14 official BIOS addresses this, as do all the subsequent beta's. G'luck

yes i am OCing, at 275*9. i think it might have something to do with my temperature. after running for a while, when the temperature gets to norma range, it reboots and turns off/on just fine. I do not have the power-on keyboard enabled. i tried it once and set it to win98 key but nothing happened so i disabled it. i am currently using the 10/xx oskar bios.

Well, I have noticed that when it's been cold recently, it takes a few extra seconds to get to the post screen. The thermal diode on the waterblock has been clocking in at the 19-20C range when that happens. Once it starts heating up though it boots just fine. Not sure if you're having the same problem, or even if it is a problem.

Just curious, what voltage are you giving it?

also, will replacing the chipset HS help with overclock? my setup can't seem to go pass 2500mhz unless i up to the voltage to around 1.7 which i'm afraid to do. in my old duron 700, i had vcore around 1.85 or so, but i don't know the limit of the A64. also, there's not much room for me to add a big hsf on the chipset because of the gainward card. any ideas?

I got the Lanparty NFII and it had all kinds of cold boot problems in the early BIOS revisions, i've tired a few BETA's, but am reluctant to try any more as DFI's now checks board for failed BIOS flashes and WILL NOT RMA if you tried to flash with a BETA bios.

I actually had some trouble mounting the waterblock on the chipset due to the capacitors next to it. Anyway, upping the chipset voltage probably won't do much unless you plan on OCing the AGP bus. I would just leave that HS there.

At 2.5, you're probably running the limits of air cooling, but that's besides the point right now. I would try manually adjusting the VCore, first to 1.525*104%(~1.586) and then to 1. 45*110%(~1.6) and see if you still have the same problems. You should be safe up to that point (and beyond), but I like to keep it at or below 1.6 for heat reasons.

If that doesn't work, check to see what your 12V rail is hovering at. I've heard some of the Super Flowers run it a little low, which require a simple pot mod (which can be found here).

my temps are good right now at 2.5ghz because the vcore is only 1.5 or so, i left it to auto. idle around 35 and load around 42 or so. the smartguardian reads the 12v from the superflower as 12.09. it used to read around 11.97 for the antec 430w i used to have. I will check with a multimeter tonight to find out for sure. I experimented today and turns out it wasn't the 'insert' key thats helping it boot on cold starts. It was just that i need to turn it on, off, then on again to boot. I just remember from the Abit board i used to have that the 'insert' key, when pressed during power-on, will load the bios back to default....i guess that doesn't apply to the DFI.
